Originally completed in 1967, this building was reborn through a conversion project that transformed it from a former warehouse and exhibition space into a multifunctional office. Inheriting NOT A HOTEL’s design philosophy of drawing out the unique character of a place through architecture, the project embraces the raw, brutalist beauty of the existing structure—retaining its steel frame and exposed concrete surfaces. By layering in natural light, greenery, and carefully selected furnishings, the space creates soft contrasts that bridge the past and present, forming a setting where time and creativity intersect. More than just an office, this hub embodies NOT A HOTEL’s approach to creation and serves as a foundational base for the brand’s vision and identity.

By utilizing the 7-meter ceiling height while limiting the height of doors and glass partitions to 3 meters, the design preserves the warehouse’s original spaciousness while achieving a sense of gentle segmentation and transparency. The exposed reinforced concrete pillars restore the natural rhythm of the architecture, revitalizing the inherent power of the space. Newly installed beams and glass elements divide the area into three zones, creating a clear spatial organization. Inside, various artworks—including a Prouvé House—are thoughtfully arranged, with open sightlines generating a gallery-like experience. The project aims to create a new kind of office where the raw strength of a warehouse intersects with contemporary sensibilities.
